It is real. It’s something only ultra-orthodox Jews do nowadays though, those who believe that not one tiny detail of that ancient ritual must be altered.

Modernised versions use a tiny sterile glass tube to avoid any contact between the mohel’s mouth and the freshly circumcised penis, and the most common modern bris omits this part altogether or uses a mechanical pump to suck the blood.

I have nothing against Jews, but I fucking hate Judaism. For this reason among many others.
